Iowa State University is a public land-grant and space-grant research university in Ames, Iowa. Founded in 1858, it is widely recognized for its extensive research productivity and academic leadership. Iowa State students come from all 50 states and represent more than 110 countries. The University celebrates a rich cultural tradition, and is home to the largest collection of public art on any college campus in the nation.
